Runway Resort 2016 is Underway!! Favorites Batch #1.

Resort, like Pre-Fall, is more of a mini capsule collection to keep the fashion frenzy in full spin in between the lulls of major Fall and Spring shows.  It’s exhausting for designers and design houses frankly now that these mini collections are fully established and pretty much expected / required by the public if they wish to keep them interested.

I have to admit I have a special place in my heart for these collections; there’s no physical runway for most of the houses so you get these amazing photo shoots where you can really see the clothing up close and the models can pose and come alive rather than just seeing walking women over and over and over again.  It’s a trend long time coming and we’re seeing these types of “shows” more and more during the major seasons too.  Although sometimes it might be due to budget cuts.  Either way, I like it!  Enjoy some of my favorites fro Resort 2016 below.

Burberry continues its quest for classic texture and lace domination.

You have a really lovely blog! This was a nice little read, I love looking at new trends and especially new looks from some of the best designers! I love the Escada and Burberry looks you’ve featured in this post & I completely agree about the whole runway thing! It’s much nicer to be able to see the clothes properly. Great post 🙂

I’ve been a fan of Burberry for awhile now so that line is my fave out of your picks. I agree that I like the up close view of the collections. Still, I like the big grandiose productions too.
I guess it just depends on how things are executed.
